Mungkin Karena Gue Cuma Beli Es Teh Manis

Ada sebuah resto+bar di bilangan Kemang yang kebetulan tamunya kebanyakan bule. Nah, entah kenapa, mungkin gue dan Saski doang yang ngerasa, tapi kok waitress-waitressnya sepa banget ke kita ya, tapi ramah banget ke tamu yang bule-bule?

Moral: Don't Freeze Your Eggs

Joe brought some soft drinks home one afternoon and put them in the fridge. The fridge was probably older than he was, so it was a bit unpredictable - you never really know what the temperature is on the inside. So to make sure his soft drinks were cold enough for drinking later, he turned the knob all the way round to the snowflake picture. Satisfied, he went on to do some house chores. Since he lives alone, he has to take care of everything in the house so the work always piles up.

A few days later, Joe opens up the fridge to look for some eggs - it's breakfast time. He grabs two eggs and brings them to the counter, to make them into an omelette. Somehow, the eggs don't break despite a small crack in the skin - and he finds out why: the fridge, being too cold, actually froze the liquid insides of the eggs. So he forgets about the omelette, puts the eggs back in the fridge and dials down the temperature control 2 notches.

Another  few days later, when clearing out the fridge, Joe finds the egg with the hairline crack - he completely forgot about it. He looks closer to the crack, while unconsciously pressing the egg, and SPLAT!

Sure enough, the crack widens, and the egg is generous enough to splash all it's contents to Joe's face. Joe is stunned for a few moments, before feeling stupid. Thankfully, there are no witnesses.

Pak Osama Kalo Baca Ini Ngerti Nggak Ya?

Ternyata, menurut Osama Bin Laden, Indonesia itu sesat. Dalam sebuah rekaman suara yang disiarkan TV Al Jazeera, ia mengatakan bahwa Indonesia, diantara beberapa negara Muslim, setengah hati mendukung pembebasan Palestina.

Pak Osama gimana sih? Nggak tau ya, bahwa justru fansnya banyak di Indonesia? Kita kan cukup komprehensif juga tuh dukungan buat Palestina, dari demo berkali-kali, sampai penggalangan dana oleh berbagai pihak.... maunya apa? Maunya Indonesia kirim tentara yak?

Pak Osama sadar gak sih, umat Muslim yang punya banyak masalah gak cuma di Palestina lho. Yang di Indonesia juga banyak masalah, walaupun memang ga segenting di Palestina - tapi tetap masalah. Masalah pendidikan, masalah kesejahteraan dan lapangan kerja, sampai krisis kepemimpinan... jadi, sori ya kalau emang ternyata kita kayak 'setengah hati', wong punya banyak masalah sendiri.

Toh Pak Osama nggak peduli juga sama Indonesia bukan? Abis yang diomongin perang sama Israel dan AS melulu.

Sehari setelah JJF'09

Berikut kutipan-kutipan singkat setelah mengalami Java Jazz Festival 2009:
1. Kaki gue sakit.
2. Orang rela bayar Rp 150 ribu buat beli kaos, tapi ga rela bayar Rp 75 ribu buat beli CD.
3. Kaki gue sakit.
4. RAN keren. Lagu barunya juga keren.
5. Ecoutez keren, dan lebih keren lagi di small venue.
6. Sound system panggung Masima parah banget.
7. Kaki gue sakit.
8. Jason Mraz memang keren, apalagi dengan aransemen-aransemen model album barunya.
9. Swing Out Sister bikin agak kecewa banyak orang karena malah format akustik, tapi gue bilang keren.
10. Banyak banget sih orang. Apakah penggemar Jazz di Jakarta ada 17 ribu orang?
11. Kaki gue sakit.
12. Makanan di dalam venue mahal... banget.
13. Parkir susah.
14. Banyak abege dengan SLR dan blackberry mereka.
15. Kayaknya JFP untung besar tahun ini.
